How can I remove vocals from a song and also make a remix?

Posted on December 31st, 2009 by admin in vocals | 1 Comment »

What I am looking for is a program that I can use to remove the vocals from a song. (you know the persons voice)? So this way I can have the vocals on one track as an mp3 and the song as an instrumental.

Also- I use fruity loops to make beats and stuff. What other program can i use to take a vocal and mix it with my beat so that they match together? or can i do it directly in fruityloops?

You cannot remove the vocals from a track. You will need an Accapella and a Instrumental version of the song.Check to see if your song/s were released as a 12" single most of them have Accapellas and Instrumentals.

Other than that you would need the Master Copy of the track.

You could try and adjust the EQ frequencies , it really depends on what song/genre of music your working with.Example a track with just Vocals and Bass you cut the Bass and left with the vocals ,though it still may not come out right. But majority of tracks are more complex than that.

As far as Mashups , I heard of Fruity Loops but never used it. I use Ableton Live it does the job of matching the key and beats of songs .

What is some good countrywestern/rock music like the Doves song, "Kingdom of Rust"?

Posted on December 31st, 2009 by admin in rock music | 1 Comment »

I really love Doves, especially their song, "Kingdom of Rust". I really like the country western influences in that song, and how it makes you feel like your in a western movie! I wanna discover some more music with a similar country western style, but still retaining a rock/alternative edge. Any suggestions?

I think one song you are looking for is called "Assalaam Alaikum Hasa Diya Warahamatullah."

It is performed by the renowned team of Susan Boyle and Zev Boim.

How many people wish Y!A had a separate category for heavy metal questions?

Posted on December 31st, 2009 by admin in heavy metal | 2 Comments »

How many of you are sick of asking questions about your favorite metal band only to see them squished between questions about Paramore and Coldplay?

Seriously "Rock and Pop" is way to general, music is one of the most diverse things on the planet we need some new categories in the music section, not just heavy metal.

Not to mention this will help people trying to answer questions about metal bands because it will be easier to find the questions about metal!

Exactly Dude!

I feel the exact same way! I hate it.

What kind of good sounding and good quality guitar would be good to buy for a begginer electric guitarist?

Posted on December 31st, 2009 by admin in guitarist | 2 Comments »

im a begginer guitarist and i want to buy an electric guitar what kind should i buy?im looking for good quality and good sound

I do agree with the other person that you should spend $500 if that fits your budget and you are sure you’ll stick with it. If you don’t want to spend that much the Fender Squire Standard Stratocaster is an awesome guitar, at least the one I played was. If you can spend $500 there are many good guitars in that price range, and some crappy ones, but for my money a Mexican Fender is the best deal going. The HSS Mexican Strat is pretty cool also since you get one humbucker and 2 single coil pickups where the standard has 3 single coils

Who is your favorite vocalist of all time?

Posted on December 31st, 2009 by admin in vocalist | 5 Comments »

I would have to say mine is Alex Band from The Calling. I love how its all deep and scruffy, but still sounds nice.

So who’s your favorite vocalist?

John Ondrasik, better known as Five For Fighting. No one sings quite like him.

How do I start becoming a singer?

Posted on December 31st, 2009 by admin in singer | 6 Comments »

I want to become a singer, but I don’t know how to get started.I wanted to know,do you have to pay to become a singer? Also, can you tell me stuff about being a singer?

As a recording engineer… and music director – I run into loads of people who want to become singers.

The one thing that most miss is: Being a singer is a lot like a person with BROWN HAIR. You either HAVE IT or you DON’T.

And if you have it… then you need to develop it.

I’ve worked with LOTS of people – some I’ve met here… to evaluate whether they should or should not pursue a career in music. Typically, I can tell within the first MINUTE – if a person is musically predisposed or not.

12 weeks before the finals – I picked the "two DAVIDS" on American Idol last season. I’m always with RANDY – in detecting when a singer is PITCHY or not.

My advise to you – is to find someone who you trust to evaluate your talent. If they say GO FOR IT… then by all means – get started. If they say "sorry" – find someone else and try again, if THEY SAY "sorry" then take up painting or something.

Alan Jackson – CAN’T SING A NOTE. But his engineers are a lot like me and do what I do… in the studio to fix a mediocre singer, and make them sound musical.

Tag me, on messenger, if you want more details.

What are the metal things on tambourines called?

Posted on December 31st, 2009 by admin in metal | 1 Comment »

I’m making my own tambourine but having trouble finding the clangy metal pieces. I don’t want to use bells because that’s obvious. I want it to be as close to a real tambourine as possible.

Thanks!

they are called zils

THIS DOES NOT BELONG TO ME!!!
Starring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler.
Robbie Hart is singing the hits of the 1980s at weddings and other celebrations. He also can keep the party going in good spirit, he knows what to say and when to say it. Julia is a waitress at the events where Robbie performs. When both of them find someone to marry and prepare for their weddings, it becomes clear that they’ve chosen wrong partners.
PLEASE NO LAW SUIT THIS IS JUST FOR ENTERAINMENT ONLY!!!
