@dewman1978 Well …
@dewman1978 Well you know what – you haven’t heard APRIL LAWTON – who was nicknamed the ‘FEMALE JIMI HENDRIX – she was SO brilliant that they did everything possible to keep her in the shadows and this was during the early 1970s. She later went on to form a Band with Mitch Mitchell – Jimi Hendrix’s former Drummer. Unfortunately, she died relatively young.

@dewman1978 Well, …
@dewman1978 Well, there was ONE Female Lead Guitarist that blew them all away in the early 1970s and her name was APRIL LAWTON – she was called the Female Jimi Hendrix and she ended up forming a Band with Mitch Mitchell -Jimi Hendrix’s Drummer – she was SO Brilliant that her contemporary Male Lead Guitarist were so off because they couldn’t hold a candle to her. There is still a lot of prejudice against Female Lead Guitarist. What a Pity!

You want to see …
You want to see someone special play? YouTube Gretchen Menn, of Zepparella. I’ve played for over 30 years, and rarely have I seen a male play as well, let alone a female.

Not laid back …
Not laid back enough to be hendrix, plus she does everything too clean in a orthodox manner.

she’s just playing …
she’s just playing her style worse guitarists get more credit like tom morrello imagine if she played metal it’d be so much easier for her but she sticks to what she loves not what everyone else wants to hear i mean think about it

Unbelievable, but …
Unbelievable, but after a bit of listening, a limited vocabulary, thus fairly quickly tiresome. As long as she continues the 3 minute snapshots on TV and such, it will not be noticable.

I’ve been a guitar …
I’ve been a guitar freak since the 70’s and what I see herer looks like a lot of jealous comments. She wouldn’t get the accolades of Steve Vai & Santana for no reason, nor would she be chosen as MJ’s guitarist over the all the session muso’s available if she wasn’t something special.
Simply put – those of you who are making negative comments are full of – I’d take what my ears hear and Steve Vai & Carlos Santana’s opinion over yours anytime.

@JeevesMorris1 …
@JeevesMorris1 People probably don’t realize that she got the Michael Jackson gig by playing the Beat It solo for him, which was originally written and played by Eddie Van Halen (he’s the actually guitarist on Michael Jackson’s Beat It song.)

well done, she rocks but that´s it, sorry fellas but this guitar player is not what we all are waiting for, and i`m not talking about a “female” guitarrist, or a new jimmy page, it´s not matter of looks, skills or crazy thecniques but the vibrations he/she can inject into people, but again, i hope she inspires that new guitarrist we are waiting for

good guitar player, …
good guitar player, but I wont she is one of the best guitar players. I think its just the complete package, including her stagepresence and voice with of course the before mentioned good guitarplaying. But if she keep developing her playing she can become great:)
