@keepitwitmine IF …
those are just the songs people listened to much BECAUSE, they were dylan’s songs.
@keepitwitmine IF you would listen better you’d notice he plays it very much alike (actually it’s the same). The difference is the technique he puts into it! i especially hear the difference between their vibrato’s. SRV has this great wide vibrato.
do you play guitar, my friend?
those songs are not jimi’s most famous/best songs
Peace!
@ …
@guitarplayapinkfloyd No pedal at all dude! that’s how you play the real blues.
@Jessrama no point …
).SRV is more of a showman. and what’s not to like when you hear those wide vibratos at the start!
@Jessrama no point argueing if you can’t change one’s opinion. we could go dissin’ eachother about who’s the best, while Hendrix and SRV both had an great style and both put the same kind of epic feeling in their music and in their play!
My opinion: I like Hendrix more because he has a kind of calmness around him when he plays. i just feel his play more than SRV’s.
Still, SRV rocks (or blueses
Ohh yeah.. awesome
Ohh yeah.. awesome
Stevie Ray was not …
Stevie Ray was not of this Earth. Rory Gallagher was real good, but like just about everyone else, he wasn’t close. I would put the Rev. Willy G. up there, because he is just great to listen to with probably the sickest tone of all time. But when it comes to blues chops….this is the man right here…
Simple reprise de …
Simple reprise de jimi hendrix –’
@StanolaGoW Rory …
@StanolaGoW Rory Gallagher the greatest? LOL! In all fairness but not even close, Stevie even while he was alive was widely aclaimed as the greatest electric bluesman that ever lived. Rory is great, but Stevie is the real deal!
Yeah, you are right …
Yeah, you are right. I am not sure if many Hendrix fans noticed this but Stevie played everything different: the intro is nothing like Jimi, soloing also, outro solo, singing, etc… even the rhythm isn’t the same cause Stevie even that played different than Jimi.
@Jessrama yeah bu …
@Jessrama yeah bu ti really just outlining what a great cover and nobody else could do a more faithful cover
Stevie had the most …
Stevie had the most fantastic tone…the audience are too polite to dance.
@cousinbros …
@cousinbros Congrats for the most incompetent statement I’ve read on YT for the past 3 months…that’s really a great achievement
@StanolaGoW …
@StanolaGoW Pathetic statement from someone who evidently knows little to nothing beside Hendrix, especially regarding SRV – a COMPLETELY different player who did 1 Hendrix song throughout his short career. He liked it, he played it and that’s that. What about Hendrix, who – at the peak of his career – covered more songs by his idol Dylan instead of just sticking to his own stuff?
@JONNYmcLAUGHLIN …
@JONNYmcLAUGHLIN He actually doesn’t sound like Hendrix though he stays close to Hendrix’s arrangement in this performance (he didn’t always); he plays every note quite different, no way to mistake him for anybody else
very cool!!!!!!!
very cool!!!!!!!
@grga888 thats my …
@grga888 thats my opinion and im sticking to it. And in all fairness hes not the greates blues guitarist ever, check out rory gallagher
He’s so hot you …
He’s so hot you can’t even hear him over his own guitar solo.
all haters just …
all haters just listen to the music ! he sounds like hendrix cos its hendrix’s song !! and nobody could do a more faithful cover of this song !
@StanolaGoW Yeah, …
@StanolaGoW Yeah, you know nothing about music. Stevie Ray wasn’t identical to Hendrix. Stevie Ray was himself, something as it seems you will never understand. He never copied Hendrix, he was a guy with his own style and tone.
Both great …
Both great guitarist in their own times. Great music is great music. Just shut the F-up and listen.
i know nothing …
i know nothing about music? hes identical to hendrix man, hes still a great guitarist and all. know nothing about music? ha
A Hendrix clone? …
A Hendrix clone? Hahaha… Unbelivable ignorance by retarded and uneducated morons that know nothing about music.
He was never …
He was never copying Jimi. Yeah, influenced by him, but he never copied him. He did a couple of his songs and he did it in his own way, in his own style with his own vision. He got all deserved attention and he deserves even a lot more cause of his own style, his own unique style, music, approach to it all, etc… And no, Jimi Hendrix is not the greatest cause there exists no greatest. Both Jimi and Stevie are equally brilliant. Can’t really compare so shut it.
Well, not like he …
Well, not like he let Jimi down. Amazing cover.
hes a good …
hes a good guitarist ye but hes not unbeleivable, hes just a hendrix clone
@redrover3456 I …
@redrover3456 I totally 2nd that! Stevie Ray was the greatest & NO ONE will ever come close!
