How do I remove rust from metal in my bathroom?
What kind of fluids can I use to remove rust from metal objects in my bathroom? And what kind of scrubbing pad should I use without scratching the metal objects?
Thanks!
Wayne
I also have heard good stuff about bar keepers friend. You can also try products like CLR. I mention this because i have not seen bar keepers friend in my store.
Additonally i think the type of scrubbing pad you use will depend on the surface you are cleaning. I would worry that any brillo or metal pad would leave scratches. A good rust remover should not need too much scrubbing aid.

Bar Keepers Friend – you’ll find it near Comet cleaner in your grocery store.
A simple wet sponge will work find with this scrubbing powder.

You can use Coca~Cola to soak the stuff and then wipe it away. A rusty bolt will disappear within days if you let it sit. The Coke company even uses it to clean their truck engines.

I found rust on my bicycle handlebars which are steel. I took it to the shop where I bought it and he said to use fine steel wool to rub it off. I’m assuming this would work on any other metal too.

I use CLR. Let it sit. Use a regular sponge to clean. Using something abrasive will scratch your metal.

Try this website… I have used Iron out on clothes , but I have never used it for anything else… If it works on everything like it does clothes …Its wonderful.
You might be able to find this product without having to order from website…Lowes might carry it…I buy it from a hardware store…Anyway they have a place where you can search for a store near you…
Good day
