In today’s Scientific Tuesday episode we are going to crush cans using water!
Why it works:
When the water boils it pushes all the air out of the can. and
if you quickly cool it it causes all the water vapor to condense
which makes a vacuum inside of the can.
That means the air pressure outside of the can is stronger than inside
so the can collapses in on itself. Pretty cool.

pour some more …
pour some more water in the can, cover it so that air wont go in or out of the can, and place it on the stove. it will vaporise the water and thus, try to expand the can and in this process, it’ll uncrush the can, it might take a little longer time.
