Model Train Benchwork
The benchwork of your model train is perhaps the most important part. It is what supports the entire scenery and allows you to set up complex track designs. You can purchase prefabricated benchwork or you could choose to build your own. As the modeler, it is at your discretion. If you choose to build your own it would be best to make sure it is portable, even if you plan to leave it in one place. You will find that it is sometimes necessary to move it back and forth either way, and for that reason you should make it easy to disassemble. So remember that working with trains o scale, n scale, ho scale or whatever, you need to keep your benchwork as portable as possible.
