How do you remove vocals from music using iTunes?

I want to make a CD of a few songs from my iTunes library without the vocals. If it’s not possible to do using iTunes, does anyone know a website/free software that will? I also have a Mac, but I don’t know if that makes a difference.

There are two versions of Audacity.
Version 1.3.7 beta is the one with the vocal remover.
Click "other downloads" in the box to access the Mac version.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Click, hold and drag to highlight the whole track then choose the vocal remover from the effects menu.
Audacity does not recognize the iTunes m4a file format. It will need to be converted to mp3.
You can convert it with this app from Koyote Soft.
