The SoCal VoCals, from the University of Southern California, performing “Somebody To Love” at the Western Semifinals of the 2008 International Championship of College A Cappella, held at the Marin Center for the Performing Arts, March 15, 2008. The SoCal VoCals advanced to the Finals at New York City’s Lincoln Center, where they were eventually named as the International Champions of the 2008 tournament.
“Somebody To Love” is featured on the SoCal VoCals’ latest album, “Unanimous” — now available on iTunes!

If there songs are usually performed with a larger group, and they weren’t limiting themselves to graduates from the last 3 years, i don’t understand why they only went with 8 people (one of whom has gastro reflux disease)? I think most people would agree that only 3 women and 8 total in a coed group is a little thin. they might have been on key and had more power with 10-12

It’s the SoCals (the sub-group of SoCal VoCals members/alumni who competed on the Sing Off on NBC back in December). David Rakita (who was in the SoCal VoCals in this video) does a pretty cool guitar solo on “Don’t Stop Believin’”!
